What Can Best By Manager Do?
- Scan barcodes to identify items fast (Open Food Facts lookup)
- Add products with brand, weight, category, quantity, and expiration
- Warning alarms are automatically set when new products are added
- Expiration reminders and auto-clear reminders when quantity hits 0
- Discard tracking (quantity + optional reason) with reporting totals
- Reports filtered by barcode, date range, expiration status, or employee
- Camera photos stored locally for easy product identification
- Local-only storage (no accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics)
- Password recovery using device screen lock/biometrics when enabled
- Admin reset tools including password reset and a last-resort data wipe
- Early warning alarms can be enabled 7-days before the expiration date by triggering the bell icon in the expiration field
How It Works
- Install the app and create the first user → becomes admin automatically
- Add inventory via “Add Product” or by scanning a barcode
- Enable early warning by tapping the bell icon on the expiration field
- Record discards for expired/damaged items (optional reason)
- Run reports and share summaries via Android clipboard
